Foreigners in mixed marriage or for the purpose of family reunification may apply for a C 317 limited stay visa.

FAMILY UNIFICATION LIMITED STAY VISA C 317

  • Visa applications for children under 18 years of age and unmarried from a legal marriage between foreigners and Indonesian citizens, submitted by attaching a passport that is still valid for at least 18 months;
  • Visa applications for children under 18 years of age and unmarried who join their parents who hold a limited stay permit or permanent stay permit submitted by attaching a passport that is still valid for at least 18 months.
  • At least 30 months for foreign children who follow parents who hold a limited stay permit or permanent stay permit with a validity period of more than 1 year;
  • At least 18 months for foreign children who follow parents who hold a limited stay permit or permanent stay permit with a validity period of less than 1 year.

Necessities and Requirements

1. A visitor visa that is given to foreigners who are married to Indonesian citizens.

Requirements:

  • Passport with a minimum validity of 18 months;
  • Visa application form that has been completed and signed (printed on two-sided paper);
  • One recent 3X4 cm color photograph (attached to the visa application form);
  • Ticket reservations (plane, boat, ferry);
  • Residential information during stay in Indonesia;
  • Original certificate of a bank account with an amount at least USD 1,500 (one thousand five hundred United State Dollars) as proof of having living expenses for the applicant and/or his family members while in Indonesia;
  • Original bank statement for details of transactions for the last 3 months;
  • Application letter from husband or wife of an Indonesian citizen (along with a copy of the applicant’s identity card);
  • Copy of excerpt of marriage certificate or marriage book;
  • Certificate of marriage from representative of the Republic of Indonesia and a copy of the excerpt of marriage certificate or marriage book which has been translated into Bahasa by a sworn translator, except in English (if the marriage is carried out outside the territory of Indonesia);
  • Copy of approval letter from the Director General of Immigration of the Republic of Indonesia (TELEX).

2. A visitor visa that is given to children who are under 18 and unmarried who join their parents who hold Limited Stay Permit (ITAS)/Permanent Stay Permit (ITAP).

Requirements:

  • Copy of passport with a minimum validity period of 18 months for foreign children who follow parents with a limited stay permit or permanent stay permit with a validity period of less than 1 year;
  • Copy of passport with a minimum validity period of 30 months for foreign children who follow parents of a limited stay permit or permanent stay permit with a validity period of more than 1 year;
  • Visa application form that has been completed and signed (printed on two-sided paper);
  • One recent 3X4 cm color photograph (attached to the visa application form);
  • Ticket reservations (plane, boat, ferry);
  • Residential information during stay in Indonesia
  • Original certificate of a bank account with an amount of at least USD 1,500 (one thousand five hundred United States Dollar) as proof of having living expenses for the applicant and/or his family member while in Indonesia;
  • Original bank statement for details of transactions for the last 3 months;
  • Guarantee letter from a guarantor in Indonesia (along with a copy of the guarantor’s identity card);
  • A copy of the excerpt of a birth certificate which has been translated into Bahasa by a sworn translator, except in English;
  • A copy of excerpt of marriage certificate or marriage book of parent that have been translated into Bahasa by a sworn translator, except in English;
  • Copy of a valid limited stay permit card or parent’s permanent stay permit card;
  • Copy of approval letter from the Director General of the immigration of the Republic of Indonesia

3. A visitor visa that is given to foreigners for the purpose of following wife/husband who holds Limited Stay Permit (ITAS)/Permanent Stay Permit (ITAP).

Requirements:

  • A valid passport with a minimum validity period of 18 months to stay for less than 1 year;
  • Visa application form that has been completed and signed (printed on two-sided paper);
  • One recent 3X4 cm color photograph (attached to the visa application form);
  • Ticket reservations (plane, boat, ferry);
  • Information of residence during stay in Indonesia;
  • Original certificate of a bank account with an amount of at least USD 1,500 (one thousand five hundred United States Dollar) as proof of having living expenses for the applicant and/or their family members in Indonesia
  • Original bank statement of a detail transaction for the last 3 months;
  • A letter of guarantee from a guarantor in Indonesia (along with a copy of the identity card of the guarantor);
  • A copy of the excerpt of marriage certificate or marriage book which has been translated into Bahasa by a sworn translator, except in English;
  • A copy of limited stay permit or permanent stay permit or approval letter of limited stay visa of husband/wife that is still valid;
  • A copy of approval letter from the Director General of Immigration of the Republic of Indonesia (TELEX).

4. A visitor visa that is given to children from legal marriage (under 18 years old and unmarried) from foreigners with Indonesian citizens.

Requirements:

  • A copy of passport with a minimum validity of 18 months for 1 year stay;
  • Visa application form that has been completed and signed (printed on two-sided paper);
  • One recent 3X4 cm color photograph (attached to the visa application form);
  • Ticket reservations (plane, boat, ferry);
  • Information of residence during stay in Indonesia;
  • Original certificate of a bank account with an amount of at least USD 1,500 (one thousand five hundred United States Dollar) as proof of having living expenses for the applicant and/or their family members in Indonesia;

  • A letter of guarantee from a guarantor in Indonesia (along with a copy of the identity card of the guarantor);

  • A copy of the family card of a father or a mother who is Indonesian citizen;
  • A proof of parent’s marriage report letter for those who marry outside the territory of Indonesia;
  • A copy of approval letter from the Director General of Immigration of the Republic of Indonesia (TELEX).
